Why did they decide to settle?
The members of the organization saw that there were no sources of work in the territory and the inhabitants went to work in other areas and many times they were fired and returned with nothing to their people. For this reason, in 2002 they began with the raising of chickens, but there was not enough demand for it to be productive, which is why they opened a grocery store, which in the same way was not the necessary size to give enough work. Then they thought about setting up a soccer field, but for this they should charge for its use and the population is used to not paying to play, which is why the idea was discarded. In a meeting between those who are now part of the association, they thought of creating a place that would allow lodging within the indigenous territory, when they went to seek financial aid, they found that they had to create a legal figure that would allow them to obtain the resources. This is how the association arises. At the beginning they had almost no visits, but little by little the place was known thanks to visits from public institutions. They currently have alliances with national and international universities that allow them to receive groups of students on a regular basis.
