Monitoreo Biológico Rancho Quemado

Committee
Yolanda Rodriguez Corrales

Why did they decide to settle?
One of the reasons is due to the fact that the Quemado Rancho community has traditionally been one of those dedicated to hunting wildlife and felling of trees. For this reason, a group of inhabitants decide that it was necessary to learn to do biological monitoring and work to conserve the flora and fauna of the area, trying to change the way of thinking of the community aimed at protecting its resources. Another need was of knowing that exists in the area, since people talked about seeing certain animals, but it was not something accurate and therefore the objective was to verify which animals are present.

Objective
Environmental education in children. Monitoring of existing flora and fauna species. Forest nursery to reproduce species and disperse them. Tours in both day and night forests. Contribution to the beautification of the biocultural route.
