Calathea opened its doors in 2019. The reason why the business was born was to create jobs in the area and a family heritage taking advantage of the beauties of the area.

The idea of the business was originally to create a dive site but it did not work so they decided to create a travel agency and tour operator in the same hotel they had opened.

It opened its doors in 2021. The idea was to be able to offer a grill restaurant in the area.
